Kristy is the sole proprietor and 11-year purveyor of Urban Teahouse, which has the most ready-to-brew loose leaf tea in the state of Oklahoma. Urban Teahouse operates in Oklahoma City. This small tea business opened in 2009 during the recession and has not just survived but thrived during the pandemic, Kristy and her team have learned a thing or ten. She and her team have learned the value of evolving but staying very true to their mission of bringing people together for a bit of community and a healthy, good-tasting source of caffeine. Kristy has taken many of the professional tea classes with the Specialty Tea Institute and graduated with the first class of tea business owners in The New Business Boot Camp. Urban Teahouse serves over 50 businesses such as coffee shops, restaurants, bars for tea cocktails, community spaces, and craft beer breweries by taking great care of them with their tea needs. Kristy started an online tea ordering arm of the business two and a half years ago and has learned the immense value of getting into the digital world of the tea industry.
